The September 2025 issue of Utah Business magazine recently recognized the 50 fastest-growing companies in Utah, ranked by five-year revenue totals and compound annual growth rate. Beehive Meals, located in Layton City, received an impressive No. 11 ranking. Beehive Meals simplifies family eating with slow-cooker freezer meals, saving customers’ time on planning and preparation.
The company began with a goal to take the busywork out of family dinner. As a mom juggling the demands of work and family, business founder and owner Allyse Jackson knew firsthand how stressful it could be to get a home-cooked meal ready for her family. She also wanted to bring families together without the time-consuming prep work and meal planning. Jackson then had an idea that began helping support her family, but it has since grown into a thriving family business.
At the time, her husband Adam’s current job was anything but stable. She decided their family needed to have another source of income if he decided to leave his current position.
Jackson posted her idea via social media to offer freezer meals, and within a few hours, people were sending her money through Venmo. Today, Beehive Meals employs 65 people and runs 14 delivery vans throughout Utah, Idaho and Arizona. From such humble beginnings, their business has grown bigger than its founder could have imagined.
